WELCOME TO FORDBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL - A REMINDER THAT WE ARE OPEN AS NORMAL ON THURSDAY 12TH DECEMBER AND ARE NOT CLOSED DUE TO BEING USED AS A POLIING STATION. A REMINDER THAT OUR LAST DAY OF THIS TERM IS ON FRIDAY 20TH DECEMBER AND WE RETURN TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY 6TH JANUARY. HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Year 5

WELCOME TO OUR YEAR 5 PAGE

 

 

We would like to thank all children for starting the term, enthusiastic and ready to learn. The children all look very smart in their uniform and black shoes. Please keep it up.

 

Your teachers in Year 5 are Mrs Boswell and Miss Betts.

Our Year group is supported by our Teaching Assistant - Miss Bacchiochi

 

If you have any queries please don't hesitate to speak to one of us. We will be happy to help.

 

We look forward to providing the children with a varied, exciting and inspiring curriculum.

 

Year five staff

READING!!!!

 

Can all children please remember to read their school books every night for at least 10 minutes! An adult must comment and sign the child's reading diary to say they have read.  Children will be rewarded with dojo's daily.

 SPELLINGS!!!

 

Spellings will be handed out on a Monday and children will be tested on a Friday.

HOMEWORK

 

All homework will be handed out on a Friday and due back in on a Wednesday.

PE

 

P.E for Year 5 is on a Tuesday afternoon. Please ensure your child has the correct kit for these lessons and a change of footwear.

PE Kit consists of: 

a white polo shirt,

black shorts

black PE pumps

 

Please remember warmer kit ready for winter!

Year 5 would like to introduce you to Jez. He will be our jigsaw piece for our PSHE lessons, he will be helping us with our thoughts and feelings every week.

UNIFORM - Can all children please be in school in suitable black shoes and complete uniform grey skirt/trousers or dress, white shirt and burgundy jumper/cardigan

HEAD LICE - In order to keep head lice at bay please check your ​child nearly every day.

 

 

WATER BOTTLES - We would like all children to have an appropriate bottle containing water in school daily.

 

 

COLLECTION - Important Notice! Please can you remember to inform the office staff if any one different is picking up your child from school, many thanks.
