WELCOME TO FORDBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL - DUE TO THE NEW NATIONAL LOCKDOWN STARTING IMMEDIATELY SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL PUPILS TOMORROW. WE WILL BE SENDING OUT A PARENTMAIL FORM FOR ALL KEY WORKER PARENTS TO COMPLETE. SCHOOL WILL BE OPEN FROM WEDNESDAY 6TH JANUARY FOR KEY WORKER CHILDREN ONLY. REMOTE LEARNING WILL START FOR ALL PUPILS ON WEDNESDAY 6TH JANUARY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME.

Year 5

So, this is our first full week of remote learning for some of us. Although these times are strange, your year five staff are still here to support you. Throughout the week, we will upload a variety of resources to the Class Story pages on Class Dojo. Keep an eye out for these, including PowerPoints with teacher voice overs, word documents with activities on and PDF files. There are members of staff always at hand to help with any questions which you may have. Keep uploading your work, we love to see what you have been doing.

Our History topic this half term is The Tudors. We will be looking at different aspects of The Tudors, including learning about the Tudor Monarch, The Battle of Bosworth and considering how reliable different sources of historical information are.

HISTORY KNOWLEDGE ORGANISER

PE Days

On the day of PE, you will need to come into school already dressed in your PE kit. Please remember PE kit is plain black shorts and a white T-Shirt. Plain jogging bottoms/leggings and a plain jumper can be worn also. NO football kits please.

READING

You will have a school reading book to take home, along with your reading record.

We will collect reading records in on a Friday and update DOJO with your points. Please remember to bring your reading record in each Friday.

Please do not bring any books in from home, but please feel free to read these at home and record it in your reading record. EVERY READ COUNTS!

In school as part of our PSHE scheme we will be discussing the importance of the PANTS rule with all children.
