To apply for a place within Fordbridge Childcare Plus, please either visit our office or contact us by phone on 0121 779 8040 ext 3, and register your interest.
If you require a free 2-year or 3-year funded place your child's name will be put on the waiting list and if a space is not available you will be informed when a place is available. We will aim to assist you in completing and submitting your funding forms.
Please note, 2-year funding is only available for families who are eligible, you have to complete the application yourself, the nursery cannot apply for funding on your behalf.
3-year funding is universal and available to all 3-year olds starting the term after their 3rd birthday.
Please speak with our office if you are unsure how to apply for funding or what the criteria is for 2-year funding.
For childcare places we can give an indication when you visit/call of availablity.
Attendance
Dear Parents/Carers
As is regularly highlighted, good attendance is absolutely essential to ensuring children achieve as well as they should, alongside preparing children’s social and emotional well-being. If your child/children are not in school regularly it is highly likely that they will not make the progress they should!
We have lots of evidence that the children who attend Fordbridge Childcare Plus regularly and are hardly ever absent make steady progress in all areas of learning, in return this helps to develop the child’s self-confidence skills and helps the child to associate coming to school as a positive experience.
We have always offered lots of support to parents/carers who need help ensuring their child attends the setting regularly, this support will continue throughout your child’s time with us. If the support agreed between the setting and the parent/carer does not result in an improvement then we will be forced to take any necessary actions open to us. We see children’s attendance as a priority.
These actions could include:
- Medical evidence required each time your child/children are absent through illness
- Parents/Carers attending meetings with the Senior Leadership to explain poor attendance
- Visits to your place of residence from members of the Inclusion team and/or the Senior Leadership team
- Possible termination of your child’s place at our setting
