Time To Talk
At Fordbridge Community Primary we promote an inclusive enviroment, where each individual is valued and respected. We want our children to be resilient and mentally healthy, so that they can succeed in all they do.
Time to Talk is a safe and confidential environment for children are able to talk about any problems they may be experiencing with our trained counselor Linda Lockley.
There are a range of reason why a child may be referred to Time to Talk, or they may refer themselves using the Time to Talk Box -
- To cope with difficult feelings such a loss, parental separation, anxiety or sudden change.
- To express their worries through talking, creative work and play.
- To explore new ways of coping with difficulties, so they don't get in the way of learning or friendships.
- To talk about friendships or other worries with an independent counselor.
A child may be referred by the Inclusion Team to have someone to one support, but if you as the Parent/Carer have concerns with regard to your child's emotional health and well-being ( for example, they may be appearing upset, angry or withdrawn) , then please do not hesitate to contact school or your child's teacher to discuss these concerns and ask for a Time to Talk referral.
If you would like any further information regarding the school counselling service please get in touch.
