Remember to read your book at least 3 times a week.
Dojos will be given for each time you read your book.
What we will learn this Autumn
Year 1 current topics
Our RE key question is: Christianity - Does God want Christians to look after the world?
Our PSHE topic is:
Celebrating difference
Our current topic is:
Science - Animals including humans
PE will be on Monday
Children are to come to school dressed in their PE kit.
PE kit should be a white t-shirt with black, grey or navy blue trousers or shorts and school jumper or cardigan.
Forest School/Outdoor Learning will be on Tuesdays.
Children to wear joggers (Navy, blue or black) and to bring named wellies in a bag.
A named coat with a waterproof hood is required.
Please bring a change of clothes in case of bad weather.
School uniform
Can all children please be in school in suitable black shoes and complete uniform grey skirt/trousers or dress, white shirt and burgundy jumper/cardigan
All ITEMS OF CLOTHING TO BE NAMED PLEASE
HEAD LICE
In order to keep head lice at bay please check your child nearly every day.
WATER BOTTLES
We would like all children to have an appropriate school NAMED bottle containing water in school daily.
SNACKS
Children will be provided with a healthy snack each day.
Parental Support
In Year One our aim is to work collaboratively with our parents and carers. If you ever need to speak to a member of staff please do not hesitate as you can speak to us either before school or from 3.15pm as our doors are always open.
In school as part of our PSHE scheme we will be discussing the importance of the PANTS rule with all children

All children in Year One will be taking part in RWI lessons this year.
Your child will practice their RWI sounds every day .
