Week beginning 29th June. Theme: Our Colourful World

We hope you are all staying safe and taking care, hopefully not too much longer now. 

This week we are setting some different challenges based on the school theme 'Our Colourful World'.

Look at the grid below and see what fun activities you can complete. 

You can also have a look at the other activity ideas below. Don't forget to have some fun with your
learning and challenges. 

Learning doesn't always have to be about sheets and written work! :)

Topmarks- Maths games for children 

On the above link you will find lots of fun, interactive maths games that children can play at home. Lots of these have already been used at school, so children will recognise them. The website also has lots of other games you can browse through for children to play.

All children in year one are taking part in RWI .

During these sessions, children will be reading with a member of staff on a daily basis. At the end of each week some children will be bringing home a spelling sheet and a RWI book every Wednesday for them to read over the following week. Please ensure that all RWI books and spelling sheets are returned to school by the following Wednesday.

 

Also take a look at our RWI letter formation programme feel free to save and print this sheet to practice at home.

 

Your child practices their RWI sounds every day using the complex sound chart. To help your child further develop why not practice at home too.

P E for year one is on a Monday morning all children need to have a PE kit in school every week.

 

Please remember to bring water bottles back to school on a Monday

 

 

 

P.E kits are to be in school every day!

Please ensure all children have a labelled water bottle in school daily with clean fresh water from home! Homework is due in school every Wednesday,

Parental Support

In Year One  our aim is to work collaboratively with our parents and carers. If you ever need to speak to a member of staff please do not hesitate you can speak to Miss Bradbury,  Miss Binning, Mrs Weaver  and Mrs Scrimshaw either before school or from 3.15pm as our doors are always open.

 

In school as part of our PSHE scheme we will be discussing the importance of the PANTS rule with all children
