Fordbridge Community Primary School

About Us

WELCOME TO FORDBRIDGE COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL!

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher at Fordbridge Community Primary School. Our motto, “Achieving Excellence Together,” is at the heart of everything we do and is underpinned by our Golden Values. Our aim is that, by the time children leave Fordbridge to embark on the next stage of their education, they are confident and aspirational learners—equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character needed to become successful citizens of the future.

We are committed to ensuring Fordbridge is recognised for the excellent provision and wide range of opportunities we offer to our pupils, their families, and the wider community. A successful and happy school flourishes through strong collaboration between all stakeholders, and this partnership remains central to our work.

We take great pride in our school environment and the diverse experiences available to children before, during, and after the school day. This year, we once again celebrated the highest number of pupils graduating from the Flourishing Futures programme—a fantastic achievement and a testament to the dedication of our staff and the determination of our pupils.

We continue to be incredibly proud of our school’s achievements each academic year, and last year was no exception. Fordbridge remains a place where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to be the very best they can be.

Thank you for visiting our website.

Our Vision, Values and Ethos

FORDBRIDGE COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL IS.....

A happy, purposeful and welcoming community, based on caring relationships, respect for each individual; with equality for all. We want our school to be an exciting and stimulating environment in which all are keen to work and learn. We are committed to providing each of our pupils with the best opportunity to develop their talents fully and to create a climate where the achievement and successes are always recognised. We believe that education should take place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all and that all children should learn to value religious and cultural differences.

Our school strives to be at the centre of the local community with positive and effective links to the wider and global communities.

We aim for all of our children to regularly portray our golden values which are….

HAVING RESPECT

SHOWING RESILIENCE

BEING RELIABLE

BEING RESPONSIBILE

Fordbridge is built on four values that run through everything we do.

Respect. We treat each other with kindness and understanding, creating a community where everyone feels valued and proud to belong.

Resilience. We encourage each other to keep going, overcome challenges and grow stronger through every experience.

Reliability. We are there for one another, doing what we say we will and building trust through consistency and care.

Responsibility. We take pride in our actions, making positive choices that support ourselves, each other and our wider community

Respect

Resilience

Reliable

Responsible

To achieve our mission we will:-

  • provide a safe, stimulating and challenging environment in which all children feel valued, equal, develop a belief in themselves and find enjoyment in their learning;
  • encourage all to accept responsibility for their own learning and to have high expectations;
  • build relationships with parents/carers and expect them to have high expectations for their children;
  • offer a challenging and enriching curriculum, at an appropriate level, which enables all to achieve their full unique potential;
  • encourage mutual respect and understanding of the feelings, opinions and abilities of others;
  • offer a variety of experiences, ensuring all children receive equal opportunities by removing barrier
  • develop a caring and responsible attitude towards our school and community environment;
  • develop spiritual, personal and moral values;
  • value and promote music, the expressive and performing arts and sport as an important part in the life of every pupil;
  • expect high standards of work and behaviour, regular attendance, good punctuality and smart appearance;
  • ensure continuity of educational provision through maintaining strong links with other schools;
  • be proud of and celebrate our achievements.

We aim for all of our children to regularly portray our golden values which are….

  1. HAVING RESPECT
  2. SHOWING RESILIENCE
  3. BEING RELIABLE
  4. BEING RESPONSIBILE

The Government have recently reinforced the need to 'create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect & tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.'

Please read the document below that highlights how these values are reinforced regularly here at Fordbridge Community Primary School.

SMILE

Here at Fordbridge Community Primary School we are committed to the wellbeing and mental health of the whole school community. We have implemented the SMILE approach across school in order for everyone to reach their full potential and to develop strategies to encourage positive mental health and wellbeing.
